we enjoyed our stay, the host was very friendly and made it pleasant for a first timers in a quiet and secure area, with lots of wild life around, it seemed to be in the middle of everything, so it was great to have something central.

Not what I expected. I called wotif and they helped me find somewhere to stay. Said it was a hotel but it wasn’t. I don’t mean for any disrespect but world did me wrong and mislead me. Wish I could get a refund but I feel bad for the “hotel” owner, as I wasted her time. To clarify, this is not a hotel. Forgot what it’s really called but it’s a house, where the owner rents a room to you for you to stay. It’s weird, sorry. I’m just not the type of person to feel comfortable in a situation like that. Not to mention the neighbours complaining for no reason saying “be careful with those “boys” they can get into a lotta trouble. I am not a “boy” thankyou.. I am a mature young man. So is my friend. I even had manners to apologise for no reason at all.. It was a joke in my eyes, and lost my money.

We stayed for just the one night, as we were attending a conference at the Mercure Resort close by. A beautiful location in a quiet area, yet easily accessible to the shopping centres and all the Gold Coast has to offer. Shirley was very welcoming and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed and offered us many choices for breakfast. A very generous host indeed. I'll be returning here next time I need to stay in the area again. A great choice!
