Absolutely dreadful. This hotel should not even be listed here!
1.0− Not Even Worth One Star. Booking.com Should Seriously Investigate This Property! My experience at Sarnıç Butik Hotel was absolutely dreadful, from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. I checked in on November 1 at 3 AM and had to pay an additional €120 because my Booking.com reservation only allowed check-in later that afternoon. To put that into perspective, my original booking cost CAD $240 (approximately €154) for two nights. So I ended up paying almost the equivalent of my entire two-night reservation just to access the room early. And what a disappointment that room turned out to be! The bedding was terribly uncomfortable, the place felt dirty, the interior was dark, outdated and frankly creepy. The endless stairs made everything even more unpleasant. The building is wooden, meaning you can hear practically every movement from the floor above. The nearby pubs blast music until around 4 AM, and just when you finally manage to fall into a deep sleep, the early morning call to prayer comes through loud and clear. I spent most of my time outside, not only because Istanbul is beautiful, but because I genuinely dreaded returning to this place. On my checkout day, this morning, I left at 6 AM. I practically ran away from this place. I couldn’t wait another minute to get out. That’s how unpleasant the experience had become. What bothers me most is that this property, in its current condition, should not even be listed as tourist accommodation. Its location cannot compensate for the poor standards of comfort, cleanliness and rest. Booking.com seriously needs to do a better job investigating the properties it allows on its platform. Travellers trust these listings, spend their hard-earned money and arrive expecting accommodation that meets reasonable standards. This experience fell far below those expectations. I want to emphasize that my criticism is not directed at the employees.

− Obekväma sängar, rent generellt mycket mindre och lägre standard än väntat. Frukosten skulle vara exceptionell, men var sämsta frukosten vi hade i Turkiet. Det var inte katastrof, det levde bara inte upp till förväntningarna för ett boende med så högt betyg.

− Leider war das Zimmer zur Restaurantpromenade und es wurde bis um 3 Uhr morgens bei lauter Musik gefeiert, hilft nur raus gehen und mitmachen 🤷
