Basic rooms and good for one night in Dorchester
5.0Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is right in the centre of town, so you're close to everything you need. No parking, but lots of paid overnight parking options nearby.
− This place is a 'does what it says on the tin' and is good for one overnight stay in Dorchester. The room is quite basic and not very cosy or comfortable, but it was clean. I think the bathrooms could do with a little TLC.
Fantastic location, friendly hosts, and a great local bar
8.0Hosts James and Erin were fantastic, friendly, helpful. They provided a warm, welcoming and 'at home' atmosphere. We felt comfortable right away. The location is central to shops, parks, and public transport in this lovely and historic town.
− Some ongoing maintenance of housing facilities would be helpful to keep things running smoothly.

10.0The location was excellent. It was easy to explore the downtown area and reach all of our destinations. The room is over a pub and is charming. It was very clean and tidy, and there were little packages of cookies waiting for us on our towels.
− The only problem was not the fault of The Old Ship Inn, but of the extreme heat wave. We were grateful for the fan.
