10.0Reading the other reviews on this property, one may shy away from it. Those reviews could not be further from truth, then what we experienced at the Publick House. This hotel is quaint and has old world charm. Our room was oversized with a separate sitting area with a pullout sofa. All the rooms including the bathroom were clean and well appointed. The staff is quite friendly and very accommodating. Very nice terrace/balcony for guests to sit outside. Although there is no breakfast service, there are Keurig’s in every room that are replenished each day. The staff will also direct you to The French pastry shop or Sally Lund’s, which are both within walking distance. We did not have a chance to eat at PH restaurant, but the menu looked diverse and interesting. Still can’t understand all the bad reviews.
A hotel with character.
8.0It was a suite with style. I would suggest upgrading your towels and providing some more hand and wash clothes. The mattresses were a bit lumpy. Still, it was an interesting place to stay.
