We did not sleep well and the towels were in such bad shape I was not comfortable using them to shower.
1.0− Towels and sheets were stained. Towels had holes in them. Train noise kept us awake. Overall our room seemed run down and felt unclean.
Convenient for going to the Petrified National forest, other than the courthouse museum, nothing in Holbrook was open.
6.0The room was clean and very retro.
− You will hear the train every 20 minutes, be prepared if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Train sounds the horn in the evening.

A pretty good deal for the value
6.0Clean, convenient value for the price. Captured the motel spirit that we were looking for on our Route 66 trip.
− A few basic inexpensive additions to the room could’ve improved the overall stay. First, hang up a few towel hooks on the back of the bathroom door. There was no place to hang your towel after your shower. Secondly, invest in an inexpensive pair of blackout drapes for the front window. We were awakened each morning by the sun streaming into our room at 5:15 AM through the flimsy drapes. The mattresses were also very firm, just a mattress on a steel bed frame.
