The gardens and the villa itself were nice. Walking distance to several restaurants and neighbouring properties.

− We stayed for 3 nights in an immediate beach front villa (villa 3). Having also stayed at another property on this trip, we found the value proposition and execution at Etu Moana to be severely lacking for the price point. *We were greeted with flower Lei's that were half rotten. *Very close in proximity (3 metres) to the neighbouring villa. The guests were not speaking loudly, however we could clearly hear their conversations. We could also hear them watching their device from within their villa. This in turn made us extremely conscious of any noise or conversation we made. This is not relaxing. *We were the first to arrive for breakfast at 0800am. It was raining, so they offered for us to eat on our balcony. It took 30 mins for eggs to arrive, and after prompting (twice), a further 30 mins for the waffle to arrive. We did not receive the coffee we requested. *Very limited breakfast options and poor presentation for this price point. *Shower and drain plate need a scrub out and to be decalcified. *Bathroom towels, especially Etu Moana branded towels were very thin with significant wear and tear. *Swimming is fairly impossible in front of the property due to rocks and shallow water. *The beach wasn't cleaned of fallen branches in two days. We noticed the neighbouring (cheaper) property rake up seaweed and foreign debris in front of their property - that's a nice touch. *The most telling aspect of our stay was upon checkout. When we were asked about our stay, we advised that we were disappointed and that our experience did not meet expectations. The staff member offered no follow up questions, no apology, made no attempt to understand, or to rectify our experience. That was the end of the conversation. Ultimately, we found this property is not the luxurious experience it is purported to be. As such, we would be unable to recommend it (at its current price point), nor will we stay again.

The perfect place to relax and unwind! We'll definitely be back!

AIRPORT PICK-UP: a clean, fresh, air-con'ed van (fantastic after a long day in transit). HOSPITALITY: Nothing was too much trouble, Molly, Beth and the girls were always on hand to help book dinners and activities, and give suggestions and advice. ACCOMMODATION: the villa was cool, clean, spacious and very comfortable, with plenty of storage, a safe and a well-appointed kitchenette including a full sized fridge. PRIVACY: the resort is small and private, most days we had the pool to ourselves and felt like the only people on the island! CAR HIRE: so simple, car dropped off and collected from our accommodation. ACTIVITIES: explore the island and find your favourite lunch and swimming spots (Koru Cafe & O'otu Beach), as well as snorkeling & kayaking straight out the front. Two absolute musts when visiting Aitutaki are the Lagoon Day Tour (organised through Etu Moana prior to arriving), and a visit to Stonefish Studio Surf Shop. FOOD: breakfast by the pool - beautiful!!! For other meals, it is an easy walk along the beach to restaurants, also Etu Moana is very central to some great takeaway spots & grocery stores to get supplies when you just want a quiet night on your deck. Etu Moana is the perfect destination to relax and unwind!
