− The younger staff member with the beard, said his name was Jonathan, kept pushing us to book the mirador base hike through him. He stated that the tours were all shut and we had to book through him (asking us for passport numbers etc) We felt a bit put off by this so we went by the tour guide (after having to repeatedly ask the name from Jonathan) who were still open for another hour and more than willing to accommodate us. Strange guy!
