10.0Convenient, mid-state location. Set up for large group but worked for the two of us. Everything was fine, but the lighting in the master bedroom was bad as well as the lighting in the living room. Soap for the shower would be a reasonable item to provide as well as a garbage can with a lid on it for the kitchen.
Great place in the woods
8.0The property consists of two houses, each divided into two units. When arriving from East Mountain Road, the house on the left contains Unit A and Unit B, while the house on the right includes Unit C and Unit D. Each unit is essentially like a semi-detached townhouse, meaning you have your own private apartment but still share the building with one neighboring unit. The setup provides a good level of privacy, although you may occasionally notice your neighbors – for example, I could hear a dog from the adjacent unit on some days. Apart from that, the units are fully separated, and you really don’t interact with the other guests if you don't want to. The house itself is truly beautiful – even more so than I expected. The interior design and decoration are wonderfully done, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Everything was fully equipped: the kitchen had an oven, stove, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and coffee maker. There was also a washing machine and dryer located in the guest bathroom on the ground floor. The basic supplies were all provided, including paper towels, dish soap, a sponge, and even dishwasher tabs (although I didn’t use the dishwasher). For laundry, there were also some remaining detergents, perhaps left by previous guests, but in any case, very useful. A small hairdryer was available upstairs as well. In short, the house had everything as described – and more. Killington itself is a very charming place, and the location of the house is wonderful. I imagine in the winter it could be a bit challenging to drive up, depending on snow conditions, and perhaps not suitable for every type of car. But at the same time, the setting must be even more beautiful in the winter season. I stayed there in the summer, which was already fantastic, but I can only picture how magical it must be in the snow. Overall, at least for the days I stayed, the value for money was unbeatable compared to other options I had seen.
− The only downsides were minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance. At first glance, everything looked spotless – just like in a hotel, with folded towels and neatly arranged toiletries. However, when I grabbed the first towel, I realized it had likely already been used and simply refolded, which was not very hygienic. What bothered me most was the washing machine: before my return to Europe I wanted to do laundry, but when I opened it, the detergent compartment was full of mold. That really put me off, and I decided not to use it at all. In addition, some small repairs are overdue, which other reviews also mentioned. For example, one of the mosquito screens in the kitchen was torn, so when you open the window it doesn’t fully keep insects out. It would probably make sense to block a few days for maintenance and have a handyman take care of these small issues, including mold removal. That said, these were details rather than major problems. Overall, the place was very clean, and despite these small drawbacks, I would happily return.
