Peaceful remote family run ryokan.
10.0We loved everything about this family run Ryokan Onsen. Nestled in a remote forested hillside village near gushing rivers, it was a traditional ryokan with several private onsen baths. Dinner and breakfast were great, staff were friendly and the village was peaceful.

10.0Really incredible stay, we wished we could have extended for an extra night. Staff were very welcoming, attentive and kind. The room was very comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the river and blooming cherry blossoms. There were several onsens indoor and outdoor onsens we could choose from. These onsens were on a first come first serve basis and you used a lock to make them private. It seems that only a few guests stay here at a time, so we never had an issue with reserving an onsen. The dinner and breakfast were really incredible. We sat next to the windows in a more closed off area of the dining room which made for a very intimate experience. The food was made from local ingredients and was a wonderful experience. I wish we could go back!

− There are three roads to the property. One of them is not suitable for normal sized cars, it is the one google maps prefers when arriving from yufu.
