Where old and new meet.
8.0A very comfortable, arty hotel with excellent, friendly staff. The room was more compact than our previous hotels but a spacious shower was lovely. Breakfast was served rather than buffet so allow more time for this. Restaurant food was good but not particularly exciting (we ate in the restaurant one evening). They provided a wide range of free, Ecuadorian snacks in the room. The hotel was close enough to the Historic Centre that we felt comfortable walking between the two although I did have my backpack slashed in the centre of town (but didn't lose anything). The hotel itself is a wonderfully converted old mansion. A very pleasant place to stay.
