The views were spectacular especially sunset the bed was comfortable The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool area was brand new.

− Lots of deferred maintenance. No wifi, mold in the bath tub hot water for spa tub not turned on.

The beds are comfortable and while dated decor, the condos are clean and cared for. The nearby beach is a relatively short walk away and pretty quiet.

− The Booking.com description said we were getting a 2-bed. However, upon checking in, we got a 1-bed with a loft. We brought it to the staff's attention, and while they seemed super nice and empathetic about it, nothing was done or offered to make it right. As a family traveling with 4 small children, we were counting on a second bedroom with a door. It was extremely inconvenient. They said they were fully booked, which I highly doubt based on the empty parking lot the two nights we stayed. I have a feeling we were lied to and got second-rate service because we were a Booking reservation. I called Booking and they were unable to reach an agreement with Schooner Landing, so Booking offered us a lame refund. I don't know who to blame for our experience, as Schooner Landing claims the discrepancy between the "Deluxe Suite" 2-bed listing on Booking and the 1-bed loft guests actually get is a known issue they supposedly can't fix. I find it pretty hard to believe they have no control over their property's description. It was appalling to me that the Schooner Landing employees offered nothing to make it right. No amount of being nice and pleasant and smiling and saying "we're so sorry, we hate it too" makes up for abysmal customer service. I am also pretty appalled that Booking.com's customer service promise only extended to refunding us a measly 12% of our stay. Basically, don't trust Booking.com to take care of you if your stay doesn't go well and you show up to a room that isn't as advertised on their website. As far as Schooner Landing goes, you'd probably have a fine experience if you aren't staying as a Booking.com guest. Which leads me to suggest to Schooner Landing that they please remove themselves from this website if they don't intend to provide good customer service. Get your story straight, stop passing the blame, and take care of your customers when things don't go right.

We liked it a lot but the "2nd bedroom" woke the kids up

It was a really cute quaint little loft apartment, we are not fancy people so we don't mind any cosmetic imperfections or outdated decor. It was so nice to have a full kitchen and room for the kids to play. No upstairs or downstairs neighbors. We were able to get to the beach BUT it was a bit of a trek and wouldnt be accessible to everyone because of the terrain. But it was doable for our family. The staff were extremely nice. The grounds had a lot of plants and greenery which was also very nice. Beds were comfortable enough. (I forgot to take pictures of the upstairs)

− The "2nd bedroom" was just the main part of the loft area, so it was out in the open and there are HUGE windows that arent covered so the kids sleeping on the twin beds were awake at the a**crack of dawn. The shower was not great, the pressure wasnt great and the shower head sprays were not ideal, and it didnt have a hose so it was hard to get all the sand off. We didnt use the jet tub so cant speak to that. We had to go to the store to get our own hand soap for the bathroom because we didn't want to use bar soap after using the bathroom. Pillows were uncomfortable. Would have nice to know about the terrain to the beach and "2nd bedroom" situation ahead of time.

Excellent place to stay at the coast!

Easy to find, clean and attractive, walkable to the beach, near restaurants, and shopping, pool and spa available. Friendly staff, coffee and hot cocoa in the main office, games books and puzzles available. Quiet and relaxing.

− The walk to the beach was a little bit steep and rocky and older members of our family did not feel comfortable walking down.
