Not having an ensuite, dirty dishes left out, jugs of water not filled everyday, limited breakfast cereals, no sink to be able to empty dishes, cups into.

This historic home was a pleasure to stay in. It was like stepping back in time. We shared the bathroom with one other couple, whom we never saw. We had the music room, which was at the front of the property. There is a railway not far away and we were a little concerned about the noise however once evening came the train noise was greatly reduced and we didn't hear them again until morning. There is a restaurant downstairs, we didn't have time to try it out. That went quiet by 10pm so no noise from there. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. The location is great, close to train station, shops and pub. Breakfast was a 'help yourself' continental and had a good choice of cereals. There were juices, bread to make toast and some pastries and tea and coffee. Would we stay again ... yes we will. We've already booked our next stay!

A charming and delightful old character venue, with friendly and kind staff. Easy access with dinner at the venue or pub across the road. Great!

Not clean! My room was full of bugs and mosquitos!! Had to spray the room. Very run down, lives up to its name as OLD VICTORIA HOTEL. The owner is a lovely lady but the place needs a lot of work.
