− That you could smell dog when you walked in, and I don’t think the sheets was changed. We was on the ground floor and was woken up early due to people talking really loudly next to our window.
A little gem in the heart of Lowestoft!
10.0It was boutique style & very homely. Liz was very welcoming. The garden is gorgeous, with a gazebo to enjoy breakfast outside, without being in the glaring sun. Lovely seating area & a little gin bar too. Afternoon teas served plus coffee, but we didn’t get time to experience these. We were in room 2, which is on the ground floor. A good size room, lovely furniture & decor (loved those fringed bedside lamps Liz, very art deco!) I was nervous about the bed as the mattress was very soft. You really sink in it when you sit on it…….but we both had a great nights sleep & no backache! Lovely bathroom with a decent sized shower, plenty of hot water & grab rails for those that need extra safety. There was also a shower mat, which we were very grateful for. We were pleasantly surprised! We upgraded to a full English breakfast, but we could still help ourselves to the cereals & pastries. The cooked breakfast was very filling & cooked perfectly! We couldn’t eat anything more, so I’m glad we didn’t give in to the temptation of cereals & pastries! Good quality bacon, sausage & bread! Parking is free, up & down a small street, but we always found a space. Excellent value for money! Would we go back again….. absolutely! Thank you Liz!

Wished we could have stayed longer
10.0Baytree House is unique, from the outside with all its seating areas and colour to the attention to detail inside, and most of all the host Liz and her team make you feel at home immediately. The property is near to North Denes beach and a 15 minute walk into town, a bus serve runs on main road and Liz will also ring a taxi if you request this. Liz has put her heart and soul into her establishment and it shows. The Breakfast was delicious and we were treated to home made baking too. Looking forward to staying again, Linda, Mick & Family
