Good Location but Overpriced for the Quality
6.0The hotel is located in the heart of Jimbocho, a wonderful neighborhood known for its many bookshops, cafés and cozy atmosphere. The location was definitely the highlight of my stay. The staff were kind and welcoming, although English communication was limited.
− The room was stuffy and humid. As a result, there was an unpleasant smell both in the room and in the corridor, despite the air conditioning and dehumidifier being switched on. There was also no complimentary water, tea, or coffee, unless you paid an additional fee. Overall, I found the hotel underwhelming and overpriced for the quality offered. I do, however, recommend the neighborhood!

Very close to Jimbocho train station. No frill hotel.
7.0Right off of Jinbocho station. Room was clean. Books.
− Hallway is musty. There is a dehumidifier in each room so it does not smell like basement in my room. I stayed for 4 days and if you stay more than 3 days then they are supposed to come and clean the room on the third day. However the room was never cleaned nor garbage bins are emptied during my stay.
