I liked everything. Staff are very professional, they made.our stay present and welcoming. We will definitely book again. I also loved the breakfast.

The place is quiet but I had to change my room and had to pay an extra 400

− There were cocroches on the bed I had to spray doom before I sleep. They didn't collect me at the airport as promised but they delivered me to my second accommodation

Lodge agréable et fidèle à sa description

J’ai passé un séjour globalement agréable à Irock Lodge. L’hébergement correspondait parfaitement à ce qui était présenté sur les photos lors de la réservation, ce qui est toujours rassurant. Le logement était conforme à nos attentes, propre et confortable. Le lodge est également très calme, ce qui est un vrai point positif si vous cherchez un endroit paisible pour vous reposer. Lors de notre séjour, il y avait très peu de clients, ce qui renforçait encore cette tranquillité. Le personnel était accueillant et sympathique, toujours prêt à aider. Le petit-déjeuner était bon, varié et bien complet, ce qui permet de bien commencer la journée. La présence d’un gardien est aussi un vrai plus, apportant un sentiment de sécurité appréciable.

− Cependant, quelques points négatifs sont à noter. Le principal concerne le prix de la navette pour se déplacer : le tarif est fixe (15 dollars aller-retour), que le trajet dure 5 minutes ou 30 minutes, ce qui revient vite cher. Comme le lodge est un peu éloigné du centre-ville et qu’il n’y a pas vraiment d’alternative de transport, on se retrouve obligé d’utiliser ce service, que ce soit pour aller en ville ou au restaurant. Nous avons également rencontré un souci ponctuel avec l’eau (eau froide), ce qui a été un peu dérangeant sur le moment.

The place looks very nice from outside. Rooms are nice and big.

− Some rooms are incomplete and had building materials inside them. The first night we arrived no water to shower at all. Thought the problem would be fixed by the time we woke up. 3 drops of cold water. Pump was changed at around 12noon. Some of the rooms we were given were incomplete and didn't even have shower heads. First shower of the day. The breakfast was a buffet breakfast cooked in the most unclean kitchen. I still cannot get over the kitchen. Guest are given access to the kitchen so be warned if you break a glass you will be over charged. The price of the buffet is much higher then any other places we stayed at in Victoria falls. For the quality of service this is day light robbery. There is nothing else around so its pretty much eat what is available or starve. The lady that was cooking did the best she could to make us feel as comfortable as possible but the kitchen is full of rats and is very unhygienic. The sink is rusty and full of black slime along the edges of the welded sink. Diner had to be pre-planned otherwise you starve as there is no staff accommodation on site. The pictures on the booking.com are not true at all. The pictures of the food they serve is lies. The pictures of some of the rooms are lies. We pretty much took over the whole place as we were 18 people. Each person had there own experience. Lighting to the rooms was very poor and the children were terrified at night that they could step on something.

The security guard May was the best ever. He ensured we had enough fire wood in the evening and made sure everyone was happy. He has 2 beautiful dogs and he always made sure they eat too. Mampoe the chef was a lovely lady and did the very best she could. The beds were comfortable enough but lacked housekeeping on our last 2 days. . Housekeeping cleaned the rooms but left windows open and lights on so by the evening when we returned there was hundreds so bugs however May ran to the rescue.
