Stunning property, beautiful rooms, excellent hosts.
9.0Breakfast was great. Done quickly, and tasty - but not much in the way of options. However perfect as a quick meal before setting off. The rooms were fab - looking out over the house, across the pond. Each room had its own unique style. There was a great little fire-pit you could sit around after dark (operates easily by gas), again looking out to the house. The owners of the property, Hal and Julie, were both so welcoming. Hal met us on arrival, and gave us a quick introduction to what to do, how things work etc. Julie very kindly gave us a whistle-stop tour of the house just before we left. Its not far from some good local restaurants, and we went to Francis Southern Table - which was just perfect. The whole experience was tranquil, stunning, relaxing, and just what we needed after all the travelling we had done to that point.
− No alternative transport from the house to the local restaurants, or other attractions. ie you really have to drive as there are no Ubers, let alone taxis. We would have loved to have stayed longer - but some additional activities at the house would be beneficial. eg a pool (which I think may be on the cards), maybe archery, or shooting, or a guided horse ride around the area, or a pool table, spa - but the tranquility of the place just works, and is perfect for a short stay.

9.0It's such a beautiful place in wild nature surroundings. The mansion has very interesting history (go to the tour). The breakfast was delicious.
− The walls are very thin and your experience will depend on who will be your neighbours during your stay. Luckily for us our neighbours went to the town in the evenings so we had peace and quiet and the porch to ourselves.

10.0Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Hôtes charmants. Endroit calme et reposant. La vue sur le lac et les arbres superbe. Les petits feux follet à la tombée de la nuit.
