The location, the pool, the hottub. The unique architecture was the reason we booked. Plenty information before arrival.

− Broken dishwasher, washer-dryer was absolutly filthy. (Dryer needed 4,5h...) A cockroach came along - glad there was a bug spray.

The view of the lagoon/mountains is wonderful and the villa's architecture are hugely interesting. The pool and pool area with hammocks is lovely, the pool is perfectly warm too. Liked the hot tub in the living room and the shower is very cool. Security guard overnight is a good feature.

− There isn't really a sofa or anywhere comfortable to relax in the evening. The spiral stairs wouldn't be great for someone with limited mobility. The bathroom being next to the kitchen is an interesting choice... They had a guy using garden power tools at 7am but he did kindly pause it when we asked him to.

I liked everything about my trip, nothing to complain about. I especially loved the shower. The design of it was a 10-10 highly recommend. Also, the pool was great, the view from sitting in the pool chefs kiss.

− There was nothing I didn't like.

An interesting place to stay. Not very comfortable. Didn't get much sleep due to pool lights

The location was good. The pool is beautiful.

− The pool lights stay on all night, the curtains do not cover the round windows, too much light comes into the bedroom to sleep., had to use eye covering to block out the light. Hot tub inside seemed unnecessary and was not hot, only cold water. Some of the lights did not work. Was weird that the only toilet was downstairs and the shower and sink were upstairs. Was difficult to find someone to check in. Had to just leave the keys in the door to check out, no one around and no instructions on where to drop off or pick up keys.

My wife and I loved our stay at Swan Villas - Dolphin Villa. The owners were in excellent contact with us as we made our journey from the border by car. They were very welcoming of our registered service dog too which is not all that common when you are traveling. The villa itself was super clean and there were plenty of clean towels ready to use after a soak in the huge hot tub located in the living room! Internet was fast enough averaging 50Mbs. The villas are architecturally so much fun and the layout means that you have excellent views over the infinity pool, to the lagune water to the mountains, all this without being 'overlooked' by one of the 4 other villas. The property manager Miriam was absolutely excellent. She made sure that the hot tub was clean and water & chemical levels correct. If we needed housekeeping, she arranged it. If we wanted information about local services, restaurants, stores etc. - she was either found working around the property or just a WhatsApp / phone call away. We have nothing negative to say about the place at all, neither did the few other guests that we met poolside. In fact, we originally booked it for 3 nights but were so impressed with Swan Villas, Placencia and the people that we dealt with that we decided to extend our stay an extra 3 weeks!.. ...I don't think that you can get a better recommendation than that. We are going to return in the future and have already recommended it to family and friends.
