Great Location. Hop on / off Bus Stop right across the Street Clean Rooms. Excellent Staff!
10.0Location was great! Staff was very helpful. Our room was very nice. Loved the exposed wood beams. We were very happy with our stay!
The location is superb. The hotel is very good, but the service needs improvement.
8.0The staff was pretty much not there. I needed the receptionist, kept coming to the office and it was empty. Twice in four days I came to breakfast and there was no staff in the area either. And it is not exactly a buffet - you cannot make your own coffee for instance. So, i had to wait 10-15 minutes for a staff to appear.
− The absence of the staff. Hence the not so efficient service. The cleaner came when I was taking shower, and though they saw that I was in the room by the indicator on the electronic lock, they knocked continuously. I was forced to open the door wearing a towel! They asked if I want the room cleaned. I said “Ok, but later.” They just never returned.
Perfect Location & Wonderful Staff
10.010/10 for this lovely boutique hotel in the center of Rome. Perfect Location! You are less than ten minutes, walking distance, to both the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. More importantly, the room is wonderful. The air conditioning is strong but not loud and rattlely like it many European hotels. The beds are large and comfortable and the insulation on the building is perfect. While in the center of Rome you hear nothing from the streets below. The staff contacts you through email about a week before your stay to ask if you need transportation- we splurged for the private transfer from the airport which was so nice and convenient. Was it necessary? No, the train station is also an option, but we came in the end of July (It's crazy hot) and just wanted to get into a nicely air conditioned private car to start our kids-free vacation. The day we arrived was also my husband's birthday. I asked what we could have pre-delivered to our room on the day of our arrival and was so thrilled with the fruit platter and bottle of chilled Rose Prosecco. The fruit platter was beautifully cut with a variety of fresh fruit and there was also a lovely note wishing my husband a happy birthday. Thank you for making his birthday extra special! Everything about our stay was top notch and the staff was thoughtful and professional. Completely our fault- we realized once we arrived at the airport to travel home that we left our wallets in the hotel safe. (We had our ID's/passports with us). We called the hotel right before we boarded and the staff was great. They found our wallets and also found a way to ship them back to us. We only had to put a freeze on our credit cards. Within two days our wallets had been returned (with all of the cash) in perfect condition. Thank you so much! We will definitely come back to Rome and will, without a doubt, return back to Hotel Palazzo Caruso!
Perfect location, great stay
10.0We loved the location of the hotel. All sites were within walking distance. We had a suite and loved the spacious feel of it, as well as the welcoming bottle of chilled wine. Breakfast was on the terrace that had panoramic views over Piazza Barberini. Service was always friendly and the scrambled eggs prepared to order were delicious. We would stay in this hotel again next time we are in Rome.
Overpriced, uncomfortable, and far below the standards expected of a 4-star property.
5.0The location is ok
− The room was very expensive and very small. There was no fresh air because the windows opened onto the spaces between the buildings, where people were cooking. The ceiling was made of wood, and one night, at around 3–4 in the morning, we heard furniture being moved or something similar. The breakfast was poor. We asked for some salad, and a staff member gave us some by opening a bag of salad that had obviously been bought from a supermarket. In the bathroom, part of the sink support had a mark that looked as if it had been burnt with an incense stick. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star, these things are not acceptable.
Nice place
10.0Very nice, clean boutique (12 rooms) hotel with very gracious staff, locked front door. Located on Piazza Barberini (Metro stop here); Spanish steps, Villa Medici & the Trevi fountain all within walking distance, lots of nearby restaurants/shops. Spacious rooms, some with views of the fountain, Nespresso maker, safe, lots of nice (and large) towels (with heated rack), full-size toiletry dispensers, shower (no tub), good air conditioning.
