Quiant, Exceeded Expectations
9.0To my surprise it had a kitchenette which I wasn’t aware of. That was a very pleasant surprise. However it wasn’t much of a kitchen, but it sure did the trick. I was pleased. We were given an extra bedroom as well that I wasn’t aware of initially, which as a couple traveling quite heavy with luggage, helped as a place to keep it all as to not make the bedroom overcrowded. The bathroom was lovely, very pretty and relaxing. I was provided with loads of information by the owner and even was suggested some places to visit around the area. I was very pleased with all the information provided. I had a question about the key box as the first one I tried didn’t have a key in it at all. I called the number they provided me with and got a speedy response and solution. My key was just in another key box and was provided the code immediately. Very pleased with the service. I wasn’t impressed at first, I felt iffy about it. However, staying there a few days it grew on me quickly. We honestly started to feel like locals in just a couple days. I would definitely return if I ever needed to be in that particular area again. However I initially needed to be closer to London, and had to cut my stay short by one night due to needing to get farther into town for speedier travel. Wish I didn’t because I immediately missed it here and wanted to come back.
− I wish it had been a bit cheaper. My first thought was we paid too much, as we asked for a double bed, however we received two twin beds pushed together and not even provided a double bed duvet, just two separate and small twin duvets. Thinking back however there did seem to be more linens in the closet that I didn’t go through which may have been another duvet, I’m not sure. Open entering the door, we were racing to get off the street due to some very angry person yelling trying to get into someone’s home. Wasn’t a good first impression of the neighborhood, as it made me nervous about going out later in the evenings. Staying a few days however it didn’t seem to be as bad as it initially did to begin with. The most odd thing about out room is it was up the stairs and was divided into four separate rooms along a hallway; bathroom, kitchen, one bedroom, then the master bedroom. The person staying upstairs had to go through the hallway which felt like apart of our room, to get to their room another floor up. We often met them with our bedroom door open and said hello. Felt like roommates. 😅 I’m sure it felt a bit awkward for them. The problem was it was so hot in the bedroom day and night, we so would open all the windows we could in the evening to get some air movement through the place which worked but we couldn’t shut any of the doors, however we did at night and just suffered through the heat. 🥲
Bad
1.0− Dog poo in the garden everywhere. The fire door was broken and had terrible being in. The photos on booking.com are 10 years old and the property no longer looks like its advertising. Have tried contacting the property but don't answer when I needed help getting into the property as the door was broken and couldn't get in. Company's are ignored so don't waste your money
