Not what I expected, if I had know it was going to be a basement apartment I wouldn't have booked it
6.0Location was perfect, didn't need breakfast.
− I had booked what I thought was a room with a sea view,2 hours before we arrived I received the message with the relevant booking in information on and it informed me it was a studio.... upon arrival to my horror it was the basement studio...which I most definitely would not have booked as I had broken my ankles the year before and find steps a struggle.. especially a spiral staircase with narrow steps. The actual studio was fabulous and I couldn't fault it but the position of it was not what I expected with a view of a pit covered with a metal grill ...
A great work/leisure stay on the Lowestoft beachfront
10.0Complimentary hot drink supply (tea, coffee, sugar) as well as complimentary toiletries (handwash, body wash/shampoo, conditioner). Simple check-in process, sent 4 digit access code via email and that is used to enter both the property main entrance and your room. There is also lift access which is helpful if you have a lot of luggage on checking-in/out. Also a dedicated laundry room if you have a longer stay and need some washing done. Essentially on the beachfront with an approximate 1-2 minute walk from the hotel until the actual sea front on the sand, with many local amenities close by: supermarkets, pier stalls, pubs and cafes. Well furnished with modernised technology to make for simplistic use - just be sure to read the guidebook you get sent so you know exactly what to do when utilising all the room’s different equipment. Stayed at the very top on the 4th floor and was pleasantly surprised that even with the humidity as of recent it was well ventilated with the air con and unlockable windows. Soundproofing and room layout also seemed to have worked really well as outside noise was fairly unnoticeable with the exception of a few pitter patter of birds on the roof of the building… but essentially no noise from other rooms aside from the insensitive bunch that slam their room doors each and every time - but that’s a people problem, not the hotel :-) Plenty of channels on the TV when you want to unwind and watch some quality shows…dependant on room booked it will either have a 43 or 50” Samsung smart TV which gives you access to all the essential freeview channels as well as Netflix, Youtube, Prime Video etc.
− Some of the room pictures on the hotel listing through booking.com need updating as the room I was in had a different floor plan and furnishing than what was advertised. Apart from that, no faults!
Excellent room and facilities, highly recommend and would return.
9.0Location excellent. very clean and excellent facilities, great bed & sheets.
− The bedroom window was tilt & turn and couldn't fully open it to vent the bathroom after a shower - needs attention.
Great location and comfy
8.0Great location.
− Windows were not double glazed, therefore, too much noise from outside (including seagulls noises).
