Lovely location, great food and beautiful rooms. Excellent value for money, but a few issues.

− Few issues with some of the staff, despite asking for the decorator to stop painting outside our window on the 1st floor in the morning whilst we were in there and getting ready for a wedding (which I thought was odd no one even noticed he was outside guests windows and asked him to stop anyway in the first place), after stopping he shortly was back up there on a ladder directly outside our window painting which I thought was super odd. I told a staff member inside it happened again and highlighted my frustration. Imagine that happening at home... Rooms also are super hot, towel rails cannot be turned off it seems. Lucky weather below 30 degrees otherwise would have been a difficult stay.

− We would have appreciated more variety of choice at breakfast, cereals particularly, fruits, cheeses, breads etc. for the price. The coffee, however and cooked options were delicious and well-cooked. The location was not easy to find.
Our stay was abandoned because my wife was unwell; nothing to do with the accommodation, though

10.0The property is beyond gorgeous. As an American, to travel to an inn from the 1300’s is an experience. But… people are what make the visit count the most. The most charming people ever run this inn. I really didn’t want to leave. The gardens are beautiful, with gorgeous flowers everywhere. The food is outstanding. This is one of the most favorite places I’ve ever stayed, really magical. You don’t feel like people are doing their job, to be nice and charming, it’s who they are. We were going to stay in town, but the most awesome taxi service which I was lucky enough to randomly find, Merlin’s taxi, not only told me about the inn, but dropped off all of our luggage, so we could go to town. When we arrived at the inn, all of our luggage was upstairs. You won’t be sorry, or feel uncertain about your stay, once you arrive. Truly wonderful people in an amazing setting.
