At La Corte di Ambra we had the most wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel in the center of Cortona.
10.0We arrived at the hotel before check-in began. Once I read the message that Sara had already sent me on Booking.com, I dialed her number and told her we had arrived. She let me know she would open up check-in for us right away. The location is unbeatable - it's on a street where one can walk directly to the main piazzas of Cortona within a couple of minutes - with excellent restaurants, shops, and beautiful vistas of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The next morning as we walked downstairs for breakfast, and Sara greeted us and brought us to the breakfast room. The array of delicious food was wonderful and the coffee was excellent. We also learned that all of the baked goods are baked by her mother and her father brings in all of the produce and dairy from their farm in the countryside. It was a really wonderful stay and a hotel that my husband and I will look forward to returning to.
