10.0Very pleasant hosts, well sized clean room, secure parking, attention to detail on breakfast preparation was impressive. Great location for walks directly from the house - wish I'd have seen it in fairer weather.

I wont hesitate to return to Bowden House!
9.0Uta went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted for breakfast ! I was amazed to find a very small thermos of milk for coffee in our room, no plastic containers to dispose of . The view from Bowden House was idyllic. Sheep, birds and rolling hills as far as the eye could see. We asked to meet her dogs and that was a real treat for dog lovers. Tiger and Sophie (?) big friendly wire-haired Vizslas.

8.0Beautiful B & B and warm, welcoming hosts. Gorgeous location and scenic views. We were travelling to attend rugby in Melrose so were dependent on taxis. Hosts were able to recommend a very reliable taxi company despite it being the busiest weekend of the year! Breakfasts were superb. Have already booked for next year.
− Guests are asked to vacate the property during the day ( until 5.00pm) Not a problem for us as we had an event to attend but could be a problem otherwise.
