10.0A 5* stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Amy made us feel so welcome. After an easy check in, we settled ourselves into the Shepherds Hut which was absolutely beautiful. The way Amy and Jarred have transformed the hut which was once a bedroom in their old house is beyond describable. The hut was immaculate and clean, the bed was so comfortable and the complementary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were amazing. The hot tub was heated for us when we arrived and stayed warm during our whole visit. On booking, I messaged Amy and informed her it was my partners birthday the day we arrived and she left a couple of little extra things for his birthday celebration. During our stay we met Jarred, their 4 boys (a blessing to Amy and Jarred) and their animals - Mango the dog (loves a treat and a morning hello at the door), Coco and Flo, the donkeys (who love a carrot) and Geoffrey, the Guinea Fowl (who loves some spaghetti pasta). Although you’re tucked away in your own little space within the Shepherds Hut, we frequently bumped into the boys when we were off out who were always so kind, polite and happy to chat. Amy recommended some places to go and eat, visit and see which were all great. We will definitely be back again to stay, hopefully in the summer when we can enjoy the outside a bit more (although the rain didn’t stop us using the hot tub).
Lovely calm and peaceful property
10.0Amy met us on arrival and showed us where to park anf all of the outdoor spaces before showing us to the property. Nothing was any trouble for the hosts and they made us feel really welcome. The property is absolutely stunning and had everything we needed and more. Toiletries smelt gorgeous and the bed was also very comfortable.
Wonderful apartment
10.0I had a wonderful 5 night stay in the beautiful apartment. Very spacious, with separate bedroom, it had all the essentials you need. A seating area in the garden was allocated for the apartment, overlooking neighbouring fields. A good location for accessing all areas of North Devon. Amy and her family were very helpful and friendly.
