Excellent stay - beautiful pub wonderful modern, clean, very comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast and great evening meal. And at a great price! Highly recommend.

Disappointing stay

Beautiful location, friendly barmaid and waiters.

− Room looked nice on arrival although very warm, but a fan was on so we opened the windows and left it to air. Access was through the restaurant up a quite dangerous staircase. When we went up to bed later we were dismayed to hear the room next doors TV along with their conversation, we really wasn't expecting this for the money we paid. The lights that string the seating area outside really light up the bedroom and dont switch off until midnight. The toilet has a faulty flush, hand soap and towels are lovely, as we only stayed one night we didn't try the shower. The duvet was too hot, the bed and pilllows on the hard side. Staff lock the pub up at the end of the night and leave the site, doesn't seem very safe if there was an emergency. Breakfast nothing special, crossiants, jam, peanut butter, bread, yoghurt, fruit. Meals and drinks expensive with added service charge. Location beautiful with a nice walk through the churchyard. Wouldn't stay again unfortunately.

All the food served at the Bell was delicious and freshly prepared. I was really pleased to see Perry on the menu as its rarely found elsewhere.

Cute place, really pretty design features, very welcoming, loved all the big potted plants at the entrance to the room made it feel very welcoming. Liked the modern shower. Had really nice products in bathroom to use, which elevated the space, the bed was very comfy and happily had a fan in the room on arrival, needed in the heatwave. The staff were very friendly and it was pretty and quiet and comfy and clean. Would stay again.

− Found it expensive for the facilities - no fridge, nowhere to hang our towels or place things in bathroom and the wooden shampoo stall was very low in bathroom - bending down pulled a muscle! Would be great to have more storage space for clothes, bathroom things and a little fridge in the room! Was expecting a king sized bed (as was advertised on the website)
