− We booked the hotel one night, for a family of five - and had booked a family room that were advertised as 5 beds: one double, one single and a sofa bed. It turns out that the «sofa bed» were just a small leather couch, that are not possible to turn into a sofa bed. The leather couch was so small it would not do as bed for or 6 year old either. However, the staff were super helpful and provided an extra mattress and we created to make-shift beds. Very thankful for the great service. But be aware that the family room is not really suitable for more than 3 persons unless they change furniture.

− The room was too hot.
We were only there for a weekend after staying for a week in the New Forest and would have liked to stay longer.
8.0Its situation overlooking the Solent. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts.
− The stairs as my husband and I are both 70+ and they were very steep and narrow and we couldn’t take our suitcases up. All five rooms were on the top floor. Also easy to catch the ferry back to Southampton.
