8.0Our room was clean and welll prepared. It had an "old world" charm to it (piano, antique furniture). This is a converted house, not a traditional hotel with lots of rooms. The breakfast was FANTASTIC. And the free parking (directly across the street) was appreciated.
− It took us a while find the hotel. This is a converted house, not a traditional hotel. There is a tiny little sign on the front door that reads, "FE," nothing more.
An Exquisite 1 Night Stay at FE Gisting - Absolutely Lovely!
10.0We returned from Husavik to Akureyri to and stayed at this lovely place for just 1 night before our flight back to Reykjavik. The gentleman who greeted us was a lovely chap - I didn't get his name so sorry for that! He was very courteous & kind. We parked our hire car on the street near to the property. There's a few streets nearby if you cannot find a space to park. Our room was very nice. With some very nice furniture! Shower was lovely & toilet very good. Sleep was welcomed by a lovely comfortable bed. The following morning, our host greeted us with a fantastic breakfast with homemade bread and some cake. An exquisite kitchen. A lovely host. I just wished I could have eaten more! The room was exquisite! It was really lovely, and I am pleased that we stayed here. I really must say thanks to our excellent host!
