Making this review in English For American / English speaking travelers interested in WW1 history this is a great place to stay. the owner directed us to some out of the way places - especially La Butte de Vaucquois which was one of the highlights of our trip. The owner really went out his way to help my nephew go fishing - He loaned him a pole and gear and even dropped him off at the crack of dawn at a good fishing spot. Breakfast was included and the room was very large. I discovered the city of VArennes also hosts a huge memorial to Pennsylvania regiment and... is the place where poor King Louis XVI and his family were arrested on August 4th 1791 on their way out of France - I did not expect such a small town to have so much history.

I never got to stay. We had emailed about my arrival time but no one was there when I arrived. No one answered when I knocked or rang the bell, a call to the number only went to an answering machine. I waited around for a bit but it was late and I was tired so I had to go find another place to say. They did call me after I had found another room but it just went to my voicemail. The message was in French so I don’t know what theysaid.
