Nice place , some improvements needed

− The room was extremely hot

The rooms at the front of the hotel are quite noisy due to heavy traffic

− A lift to get upstairs would have been a big help as we had taken elderly parents with us.

OK for a night or two but overpriced for what was delivered

the 2 bedroom apartment was very roomy, with one of the bedrooms large enough to fit a foldable bed for children, 2 large bathrooms, modern and clean, the whole apartment nicely decorated. large comfy sofas in living room, very comfy beds, no nasty room perfumes, and also duvets had no overbearing laundry perfumes, which was a relief. luxury bath robes included were a nice touch. the 3 airconditions in the 2 bedrooms and kitchen/living room were very effective, although a bit tricky to figure out how the remotes worked.

− the larger bedroom had a closet (which was also the storage room for ironing board, folding bed, ...), but no drawers or other furniture to put things except the small night stands. the kitchen in the apartment was a bit sad. cupboard doors wobbly and not closing properly; considering that this apartment can sleep 4 people, there would not be enough dishes and cutlery for everyone, there was no hand towel to dry dishes or hands. only a very small round table that hardly fit my husband and myself. everyone else would have needed to eat on the sofas/lounge table. ok if you eat out and only want tea or coffee, but not for cooking let alone for 4 people. no stove, just one microwave. on the floor above was the 1 bedroom apartment, and you could hear the people and their children running and rummaging around late at night and very early mornings (7am). otherwise no street noise as the windows face a quiet lane. breakfast was ok but not very generous or particularly good. 2 cans of filter coffee were brewed once in the morning and only kept warm on the filter machine instead of freshly brewed, at 9am there were 3 tiny dried-out pastries left which were from the supermarket, not a bakery which I thought was a bit poor for a 500 pound stay. while we were still eating they were asking us if they can start removing the "buffet" to prepare the room for lunch. not very professional, considering that it was 9.30am maximum. no hot water in the apartment for the 2 days we stayed. handyman tried to fix the boiler on the first day but unsuccessful, showers and kitchen sink stayed cold. staff apologised but made no effort to offer compensation. manager never got in touch although they promised they would be. only when I requested part of my money back per email after a week, they agreed to that.

Attended a family friend’s wedding. Staff, location, food - all were great! If driving, drop off bags before you park. I wish they had air conditioning. It gets rather warm in the rooms, but other than that, i recommend.

− The room was not normal hotel room, must be looked at floor and window while cleaning. I have noticed spider with web in two places, other than that it was very good.
