10.0The staff are amazing; so friendly and accommodating. It's in a great location for exploring food and coffee, while being around local culture (the area feels less touristy than Thamel, so you actually get a better experience). The room and hotel restaurant are also very nice, and especially the outdoor sitting area has a great vibe.
A relaxing stay, with warm service and good coffee
9.0I was travelling alone, and I felt very safe and well looked after at Timila. The night I arrived, my cab took a wrong turn and the receptionist came down the road to find us. The staff are warm and quick to help, including making me a quick cup of good coffee as soon as I woke up every morning. I also enjoyed sitting in the courtyard with the NY Times at breakfast. The room is expansive, and quiet.
− Patan is quiet - so be prepared for that. On the first night, the streets were quiet and restaurants were closed, so I went to bed early with a book. However, by day two I realised that it is also very safe, and enjoyed exploring ancient durbar square late at night.
Would stay here again without hesitation.
9.0The Timila is a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. By the time we checked out we felt we were with friends or family. The food was very good and the menu had a lot of interesting and well-executed meals. When we needed a late check-out for the over-night flight back to HK, they allowed us to use our room until very late in the afternoon. Very thoughful. It's a good location for walking around the area site-seeing too.
− Only one thing - our room, 104 was right over the kitchen and so it was a little noise at times. Minor detail.
