Una buona vacanza nel Salento
8.0Ottima posizione per spostarsi nel Salento e visitare mete interessanti sia sulla costa che nell'entroterra. Camera silenziosa e confortevole grazie anche all'aria condizionata, imprescindibile. Unico fastidio le zanzare negli ambienti comuni e esterni, a causa del giardino che andrebbe curato meglio. Discreta l'accoglienza. La compresenza di altri ospiti è stata impercettibile. Siamo stati in 3 e abbiamo fatto sei giorni. La posizione strategica ci ha permesso di visitare quasi tutti i posti più belli del Salento. A 5 minuti da Porto Selvaggio, splendido mare. Ooltre alle mete classiche come Lecce o Gallipoli, consigliamo anche la Basilica di Santa Caterina a Galatina, un gioiello con affreschi stupendi. Dietro la Basilica c'è anche un ristorante La Corte del Fuoco dove abbiamo mangiato benissimo e siamo tornati anche per l'ultima sera. Anche Gallipoli e le sue spiagge sono facilmente raggiungibili con 15 minuti d'auto. Nel complesso una buona esperienza. Abbiamo anche gradito la comodità del parcheggio interno. Consigliabile.
A short drive up the hill from Santa Caterina
8.0The Santa Caterina area is a new favorite spot of ours! We came here for diving but also enjoyed the beautiful scenery, fantastic walking paths along the sea and small town atmosphere with hopping evening life in a nearby town on Saturday and in Santa Caterina on Sunday. We chose Villa dei Pini for its location to Santa Caterina ( a short drive down the hill), breakfast, and wifi. We were very happy with two out of the three. This is the first level of a typical Italian home, set quietly up on the hill. There is a shared kitchen and outdoor eating space. Hosts were very friendly! Breakfast was typical Italian cakes and sweet breads with juice, water and coffee. Room and bathroom was a good size and really good air conditioning! The downsides for us were no wifi even though it had been advertised as such and the dogs on the property barking at night sometimes. You should also know that there are residents upstairs, but their coming and going didn't bother us. Overall, a very positive stay!
