This place is great. Not for it's facilities, but for the honesty, kindness and professionalism of it owner Anska. The bungalow rooms are very simple, with a/cand shower, clean an comfortable and cooectly priced. There is very good food served for breakfast and evening meals if you want them. Anska will take you in his jeep or tuc-tuc to any of the marvelous sites in the area and also do jeep safaris into the local parks to see elephants and other fauna. All at reasonable prices. He has a good knowledge of where best to find the wildlife taking account of current conditions. He also gives cooking classes and arranged lunch, dinners for residents and non-residents alike. It is not a place to just lay your head, but a complete and unforgettable experience.

Nice room with a comfortable bed, the host was incredibly nice and helpful. He even did some of the tours including the safari which was amazing. Very knowledgeable on all aspects of the area and the animals.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Khaya Villa. Ashanka, the owner, was warm and very hospitable. His wife cooked us amazing dinner and breakfasts. We have been traveling around Sri Lanka now for about two weeks and I can easily say that those were some of the best home cooked meals we have had our trip. Ashanka has his own safari jeep and will take you on nearby elephant safari for a fair price. He also took uas to Ritigala monastery, Sigiriya rock, and Pidurangala at sunrise. Can't say enough good things about our 3 nights in Habarana, wish we had booked more time, there is so much to see in Habarana area.

Unforgettable cooking class and dinner in Habarana

I stayed one night and I will definitely recommend Khaya Villa for all. When we arrived, he kindly prepared welcome coconut juice for us. I joined cooking class and the host who worked as the chef at the hotel previously kjndly explained and instructed 9 beautiful Sri Lankan tradiffitonal dishes just only for me! Tast was excellent. He and his family also helped preparing dishes and it was really warmful time(Price was also reasonabe). Evwn if you are not interested im cooking, I recommend to have dinner here because his dishes is one of my best during our stay is Sei Lanka.He also helped us of our travel plan with reasonable price. It was shame we moved to other hotel.
