Historisches B&B, das seine beste Zeit leider hinter sich hat
2.0Lage: Das B&B ist in einem historischen Gebäude nahe dem Stadtzentrum untergebracht. Sämtliche Läden und Attraktionen sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Frühstück: Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich. Stones mit Lemon Curd, Eierkuchen, Obst, Orangensaft, Kaffee (leider etwas dünn) und Wasser. Absolut ok.
− Parkplätze: Das B&B selbst hat keine Parkplätze, man muss sich also einen der öffentlichen suchen. Da Saugatuck eine sehr touristische Stadt ist, kostet die Parkplatzsuche sehr viel Zeit und genauso viel Nerven. Service: Wir sind kurz nach 16:00 Uhr angekommen, also der offiziellen Zeit für den Check-In. Trotzdem war niemand da, um uns aufzumachen und auch telefonisch war niemand zu erreichen. Zu allem Überfluss hat es an dem Tag geschüttet wie aus Kübeln, so dass wir durchnässt und frierend warten mussten, bis der Inhaber endlich erschienen ist. Zimmer: Es gibt nur zwei Zimmer, die beide winzig sind. In einem der beiden Zimmer ist Dusche und Toilette im Zimmer selbst, wobei das Waschbecken außerhalb des Badezimmers steht. Beim anderen Zimmer ist das Badezimmer separat auf dem Gang. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Bad, in dem man sich aber kaum mit ausgestreckten Armen umdrehen konnte, weil es so klein und mit allem Möglichen vollgestellt war. Zwei Personen mit zwei Koffern sind das absolute Maximum, das man unterbringen kann. Zur Klimatisierung gab es eine infernalisch laute Klimaanlage, die ins Fenster eingebaut war. Der Boden war mit mehreren Lagen Teppich bedeckt. Muss man mögen und darauf vertrauen, dass oft und viel und ständig gesaugt wird.
