10.0An amazing place to experience the South of France. We spent two weeks in the "Domaine Les Cigales" and thoroughly enjoyed the luxury provided by the most accomodating and supportive host family. Our room was tastefully furnished and well equipped. When you open the door, you'll find a court offering only the best in relaxation: A pool with chairs and sunbeds, a jacuzzi, a gym, massage chairs (massaging everything from neck to toes), a boule field (and a "French team" eager to play), a grill and the whole kitchen at your disposal. Everything is clean and in great shape. The host was in charge of an enormous breakfast and managed to surprise us with something deliciously different every single day. In fact, some of the ingredients of the breakfast were home made (such as the jam and the eggs from the chickens in the garden). The host's suggestions for activities around the region were brilliant. This way, you get to see a lot of authentic and charming sites so unique to the south of France. For instance: - The Bonard museum in Le Cannet - Saint Paul De Vence - Grasse with the XVIII° Century Museum - St Jean Cap Ferrat with the Villa Ephrussi-Rothschild - Îles de Lérins - Gourdon with the Castle - La Verrerie de Biot (the glassblowers’ studio) and last but not least Nice and Cannes in reachable distance. Thus all in all, this is bound to be a perfect rating. We couldn't have asked for more and we'd love to go back soon.
