10.0The experience at Rouge Bordeaux B&B was a pleasant surprise for our family, despite being frequent travelers we had never been to a B&B like this one, Julian & Megan made the experience unforgettable. The gourmet breakfasts that Julian prepared for us were fantastic. The place is super charming, room with enough space for 4, super comfortable, excellent for families. My daughters were pleasantly surprised to share with Julian and Megan's children, where soccer games, pool and cards made the afternoons fabulous. They made us feel at home. Highly recommended for those looking to experience the fabulous Bordeaux and vineyards. —-Stewart & Betty (Darcy and Jamie)
Hugely disappointing.
4.0Whilst the photos on the web-site looked appealing we were somewhat shocked by the reality of Rouge Bordeaux. We were greeted cordially by the owner who then showed us to our room in the garden. This was housed in what looked to be no more than a garden shed although it was nicely decorated in the interior and was clean and fairly comfortable. However, to our absolute dismay, the adjoining bathroom was only partially concealed by a sliding door which left a considerable gap at either side when slid into place. This offered no privacy at all when using the bathroom. Although old I don't think we are alone in considering a trip to the loo as a private event. As a result, being sensitive to each other's horror of being witnessed abluting, we ended up taking a step outside into the garden and being rained upon whilst our partner went to the loo. In addition the wifi was so erratic that we were unable to make a connection without going outside. Parking is only available on the road outside so a car full of holiday equipment is vulnerable. On discussion with the owner it seemed that there were other rooms actually in the house that could have been used as accommodation so it was disappointing to have been lodged out in the garden as the room also became cold later in the evening. All in all a disappointing experience.

10.0Very tranquil, so comfortable. There are only a couple of restaurants in the village but many more only 10/ 15 minutes away. Julien, was really helpful and so pleasant. Would definitely recommend. Also, small swimming pool!

10.0This is a B&B experience like no other. If you want to see Bordeaux the * real * way...meet the locals, learn the way of life, dig deeper into Bordeaux ...you must stay here. The hosts are amazing people who truly care about your experience and will find a way to give you memories of a lifetime. You will tell and retell about your visit, and that’s how you know it’s unforgettable.
Experience France at its best!
10.0Our stay at Rouge was nothing short of spectacular. The hosts Julien and Megan were down to earth, friendly, and gracious couple who have put their hearts and soul into this property. Comfortable and clean provided excellent rest. Juliens breakfasts were on scale with respected eating establishments and Megan’s friendly Midwest charm really felt like home. In the heart of wine country and French country living is just what we needed to experience France and all its charm. We would not hesitate to recommend Rouge to our friends and family and feel we have made lifelong friends.
