It was a very pleasant experience and we would be happy to return in the future.
9.0The room was light and airy. The staff were fantastic. The food was excellent.
− The WiFi was not very fast and you couldn't watch for example a you tube video.

9.0Friendly and helpful staff. Our host gave us a lift to get back to the Pennine Way. Our twin room was small but comfortable.
A very welcoming stay with a lovely host.
8.0Our fifth night on the Trans-Pennine cycle trail. The hotel is set on top of a hill, and I was so,so tired by the time we got there. As soon as we arrived, Lee, our host gave us a big smile, welcomed us in and told us to bring the bikes indoors. He was absolutely brilliant. The hotel is used regularly as a stopping off point on the Pennine Trail, and often fully booked, so make sure you book well in advance. We were staying a Sunday night and the restaurant had already closed (at 5pm) so make sure you arrive early or else pop into Glossop or Hadfield if you need to eat later. The hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment, but it has loads of character, and with such a wonderful host, we were well pleased with all the facilities and would gladly stay again.
− Nothing I can think of, but do note that the bar shuts at 9pm on Sundays.
Please note that no dinner is available on Saturdays and Sundays. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
