Nice location looking out on the bay
8.0Nice location fairly close to town and looking out on a picturesque bay with ferries going back and forth. We saw a porpoise from our window one day. The room was nicely furnished with a breakfast nook. The staff were nice when we finally met them. This is not a B&B, but they provide food for basic breakfast in the room. We supplemented it with some fruit from the supermarket nearby.
− There isn't anybody there when you arrive. Rothesay itself wasn't quite what we'd hoped -- it has some nice things, but also a lot of underused or under-repair buildings. But Mount Stuart and the tourist bus around the island are good for one pleasant day.
