"Off-Site" Manager GHOSTED me and did NOT show upon my arrival at the B&B!!

Long story short: "Off-site" manager simply GHOSTED me and did not meet me upon arrival at the B&B! I booked through Booking.com. The B&B listing gives a contact number and requires that you message to let them know the time of your arrival. I did this and got a confirmation from what turned out to be the "off-site" manager, who I suspect is actually the owner. When I arrived at the train station, I messaged AGAIN to let him know I was on my way. No response. I repeatedly messaged and called, but got NO response -- even though I COULD SEE that the person was ONLINE at the time -- was he deliberately ignoring me? After all, I had prepaid -- was this his only concern? No one was there to meet me at the property upon arrival and no one answered when I repeatedly rang the bell for the B&B. In desperation, I asked the waiter at the pizza place next door to intervene -- he was able to contact the ON-SITE manager, who immediately came to meet me. He apologized and said that: 1) the contact number I was given was not his number (although it looks like his photo is attached to that number); and 2) NO ONE HAD TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD BE ARRIVING! Seriously? I am a solo female traveler in a foreign country -- and the "off-site" guy just left me to hang out to dry -- after, as I said, I had prepaid for the room. Mr. Off-Site never even had the decency to return my messages -- though I know he received them because he had confirmed my arrival time. Now, the on-site manager, Jacopo, was wonderful and responsive to any request I made durig my stay. The room itself was large and clean, modernized (it's in a charming, historic building) and comfortable. I give credit to Jacopo for the excellence of the room, and his helpful and responsible service. So -- if you can manage to get in to the place somehow -- pizza guy recommended! -- then you will have a pleasant stay. But what kind of a person, such as the "off-site" guy, would simply BAIL on an arriving guest? Though it is a nice B&B, I will NEVER stay here again -- wouldn't take the risk that I would be hung out again to dry.

Localização bastante central. Ótimo prédio com elevador. Quarto amplo, novo, limpo, com tudo o que se precisa. Ótimo banheiro, espaçoso, contudo, não gostei das toalhas que, apesar de absorverem, são de pano. O café da manhã praticamente inexiste, Tinham algumas opções de pão de forma que colocamos numa espécie de torradeira. Num frigobar tinham leite e suco. A máquina de café não conseguimos ligar. Na área do café não tinha ar condicionado e estava bastante quente, considerando ser verão europeu. Então, é um excelente Bed.

Breakfast needs improvment, not only wrapped and packed items. Cutlery and wine glasses were missing, also salt.

The B&B looks exactly like the photos. Area is nice. But they were very unresponsive. I had to wait for them for 30min (pass check in time) until they showed up to open. Then I texted them to ask questions and never heard back from them.
