In a peaceful picturesque setting. Spotlessly clean. Really comfy bed . Plenty of drawer and wardrobe room . Well positioned for the places we wanted to visit .Lovely breakfast in conservatory with excellent views over the Leven Valley

Literally everything! Jane is the most amazing host - super friendly, helpful and attentive. We felt like friends/part of family - which was amazing and really welcoming. Jane's breakfasts, scones and freshly baked goodies (every day in our room) were simply delicious, too! Jane has also given us lots of practical guidance on local events. She wrote down directions for bridal path walks in the area, which came in very handy. The room was super comfy, well-equipped, super clean, and well-ventilated (great in hot weather!), and the cottage is just like from a postcard (lots of lovely flowers and green lawns), with hillside views over the beautiful countryside. We also had access to the lounge and a terrace with comfy garden furniture - which we definitely made good use of! Location is great - although you do need a car (for going anywhere around the Lakes, anyway). There is a steam train operating (which we used for a great day out). There is a good pub with a beer garden within a 15-minute walk (hilly).

− Absolutely nothing - we've already booked for next year. ;-) (Some people might possibly struggle with the short uphill walk back from the pub, but isn't it true about most hilly areas around the Lakes District, and part of its charm? We had no issues with it at all.)

Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice from a cold to a warm breakfast. We had the english breakfast plus a cheese omelette which was cooked to perfection every time. Location was really good, beautiful views outside of the window during breakfast. The house is in an overall area which is perfect to access Windermere or Ambleside either by boat or car. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful stay in the Lake District!

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B in the Lake District. The host was extremely kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious and very generous. The veranda where breakfast was served was beautiful and made the mornings even more enjoyable. Our room was always spotless and very comfortable. The place was incredibly quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing, and the location was great for exploring the Lake District. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!
