An Oasis of Calm Not to Be Missed

The Inn at Moonlight Beach is an eco-friendly oasis of calm and renewal in popular Encinitas. Perched off one of the main streets, it is walkable to the beach and to town— that is, if you can drag yourself away from all the Inn has to offer! We were smitten by the many tranquil nooks and decks dotted about the property for quiet contemplation or conversation and tempted by the vast array of wellness offerings. The owners have made use of every square inch of their property: there are beautiful, lush plantings that make you feel worlds away and the rooms themselves are spacious and luxurious but not in a show-offy way. We stayed upstairs in Sage, where we had our own private patio and enjoyed a delightful farm fresh breakfast basket customized to our likings. Some reviewers have mentioned train noise- you can’t help but hear it because it runs up and down the coast but we weren’t disturbed by it during the night- rather we fell asleep to the soothing sounds of gentle waves emanating from a bedside white noise machine that I can’t wait to purchase for home:) We would highly recommend the Inn to anyone seeking a quiet, nurturing retreat.

Awful. We reserved two nights and the noise from the street, train and frogs were deafening. We hardly slept. We checked out after the first night and the inn refused a refund for the second night. It was not peaceful nor healing. We were exhausted. The room was dirty, the bathroom sink didn’t drain and the entry light didn’t work. Our breakfast was a joke. We preordered breakfast and received a joke of a basket at our door the next morning. There was note inside stating that they were out of hard boiled eggs, the toast was missing and a store bought small hard avocado. Seriously. Such a negative experience. I would not recommend this inn to anyone. The owners do not care about your wellbeing or the facility. Everything is focused on trying to get their customers to purchase something from them. The funniest part about our stay was ear plugs on the night stand , that should have worn us about the noise except that night. Nightmare. Do not stay at such a scam. Awful.

Very peaceful setting. I love what they stand for (plants, peace). The staff were super friendly. Room was spacious and clean.

Fabulous fabulous fabulous!!!!!!! The staff the room the amenities from A-Z was terrific!!!!! We felt sad to leave! It was like home so comfortable and warm and peaceful and serene!!!!!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Perfect getaway for Eco retreat and definitely going back as soon as possible

Everything was new and clean and modern they had filtered water and really amazing food. The complementary breakfast was minimal but really excellent. Definitely worth coming back an ego, friendly hotel highly recommend.

− I think everything was really well thought out maybe the mini fridge in the room wasn’t in the best place. It was under a table. Other than that, I think it was exceptional and no other complaints. Maybe it was just the room I was in ?
