Don't book the Family Appartment with 3 bedrooms!

− In June we booked an Appartment for October with 3 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom via booking.com. On arrival the reception informed us that this Appartment did not exist anymore. Only option left was 2 separate bedrooms with one bedroom having no badroom/toilet! Getting refund was very comersome and unsure. The receptionist changed several times the story how to refund, first via booking.com, then directly and in the end payback to a virtual creditcard that I had no way of verifying if correct. Also blaming booking.com that they sold the not existing appartment. Had to pay for the 2 new rooms with not knowing to get the refund for the appartment. It was end of the day, travelling all day with my family and already arranged/payed a carpark nearby. So not accepting this and find something else during the night was not a real option. After a terrible sleep left the hotel to our next stop in Bourmouth. I sent another email to booking.com. A later got informed by booking.com that the refund was done. I never got an answer why the hotel did not inform me upfront of the incorrect booking, leaving no real choice on arrival. I suspect this happens more often and feels fishy!!! The hotel still shows this Family Appartment with 3 bedrooms in their own website!!! Don't book it and fall for this trap via booking.com!
Good, clean, comfortable and good value
9.0Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room. Loved the small kitchenette, basic but clean and well equipped.
