4.0Great location, nice apartment. So much potential!
− We had several very unpleasant occurrences during our stay. We booked at 16:20 and we immediately proceeded to check-in a few minutes later. At check-in, we were told that there had been no electricity since 7am that morning, and there wouldn't be any until 10pm. We had not been warned about this in any way at the time of booking - we would have booked somewhere else under these circumstances. Our apartment was not very clean (maybe due to the lack of electricity?), there was water on the floor as the freezer was de-frosting, and there were dirty towels in the washing machine. The apartment was very cold, and we had no light and no possibility to heat or cook until the electricity went on just before 10pm. Nevertheless, they charged us a cleaning fee of CAD$192 for 2 nights. There were no towels for us in the apartment, and the ones we then got from reception were dirty (!). In light of these unfortunate circumstances, we kindly requested that they refund us that exorbitant cleaning fee. We did so through Booking.com and directly by email. They never even bothered to respond over the past 2 weeks. Utterly disappointing.
