Rustic stay, check in was choppy.
8.0Rustic feel
− Run by kids. Some were from foreign countries, which is fine, but I got the sense that they could care less about true customer satisfaction. Some were better than others, a few were as new to the property as I was.
Great location with a few major improvements, this would be a place where I would come back to stay
4.0The front desk staff was friendly and the maintenance team was very prompt. We had an issue with the heat - it was not working, and they came to attend to the problem right away. A new thermostat had to be installed and they fixed that quickly. We also had an evening with zero power, called the front desk and again maintenance was out fairly quickly and the problem was resolved. The attendants who came to "refresh" the room were great! I was very pleasantly surprised by the coolers and the ice bags in the freezers on each level of the property - I thought this was a great value add and it was much appreciated as well as the daily supply of bottled water and coffee pods.
− I really think that if you had newer towels it would add A LOT to the experience. The towels everyday may have been clean, however they looked so dingy and worn. A refresh on the towel situation in my review would have increased my rating a full star. For the price, I paid for two rooms, I really value nice white towels. With that being said, the robes provided at the hot tub restroom were amazing - if the towels would have been in that shape, you're approaching 4 - 4.5 stars! The cleanliness of the hot tub was much to be desired. There was dirt stuck on the inside walls above the water line of the hot tub. I wiped it off and we got in because we were so cold from our room with the issue of having no heat, but I was kind of disappointed at that. The staff explained the cleaning process to us before we used the hot tub, so finding dirt there was a bummer. But, again, we were so cold that we wiped it off and used it. We loved the robes and the fact that there was a shower by the hot tub.
Cute on the outside, horrible on the inside
2.0The staff is the main reason why it's not a 1 rating. Rides to park were nice also. Very good job with hiring.
− This was absolutely the most sub-par accommodation we have ever had, and for $477 a night! No clean drinking water in the rooms, no heater (we were in low 50s/high 40s), no wifi and therefore no TV. Room and bed were tilted, first hairdryer didn't work, listing says there were daily housekeeping and washers and dryers - there weren't. We know it's a short season but the sub-standard conditions are more reminiscent of the 3rd world than what we paid.
Rip off with poor customer service.
5.0The beds were comfortable and it was well situated close to the park and shops were just below (coffee, icecream, burgers, souvenirs).
− The staff had zero hospitality training. most of them would not even say hello to you. They didn’t know the area, they didn’t even know the train scheduled. we booked an early shuttle, the driver didn’t turn up. The guy at the front desk did drive us. only 10 min late. The shower was TERRIBLE, temperature was inconsistent, it was either scolding or freezing. The pressure was useless. i complained and they did fix the pressure by cleaning out the nozzle head. It didn’t fix the temperature. i spoke about other concerns and was told the manager would be advised. i asked for them to contact me (a week later and im still waiting). the worst and most annoying part of the whole trip was that i had booked on booking.com nearly a year in advance and closer to the time they tried to charge my card and there was an issue (my previous card had been cancelled due to fraud). i contacted the property direct and asked them please do no cancel the booking. i fixed the card issue (added new card), confirmed with my bank that everything was ok yet the payment still failed and booking was cancelled. i understand this so a process thing and possibly not the property however when i immediately when to rebook it cost about $400 more. i asked them to honour the original amount and they refused. my hands were tied as it was too close to the trip to book anywhere else. they then immediately charged my card without issue (the same one that failed apparently). i was just left feeling so disappointed and ripped off. i dot mind the sloping floor and the shaky old stairs or the lack of paving on the driveway. it adds to character but poor service is unacceptable. i would not stay here again.

10.0Nice staff. Cute cabin.
Much better comparably priced alternatives throughout valley.
2.0Good location near National Park Entrance.
− Room uncomfortably hot, no fan or AC. Window screens with large gaps allowing mosquitos. Parking at low level, walk up 3 long sets of stairs to 400 level rooms. No housekeeping, but requested “refresh” after second night, did receive, even after requesting second time. Stayed early June (very long days), curtains do not block out daylight. Stayed in “suite,” no dresser. Daylight showing on back wall under sink. Common area shared by all guests directly next to only operable windows, no privacy.
