A relaxing stay in a Victorian villa.
8.0The guest house owner and his staff were all very helpful and really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The house is a beautiful Victorian villa, with many original features that have been preserved. There was a convenient seating area in the front garden, which guests were enjoying well into the evening as the weather was excellent. Although we were driving, the house is just a short walk from the railway station, so would be ideal if you were travelling to Dumfries by train.
− The ensuite was a bit of a squeeze but I appreciate that fitting ensuites into a historic building isn't easy!

10.0Lovely breakfast, Colin was a very friendly & helpful host & local biscuits in room was a nice touch. Would highly recommend the Indian restaurant in Buccleuch Street, think it was called Royal Palm ?
