NOTHING ROYAL ABOUT THIS VILLA

This villa is NOT in San Antonio as advertised. Be prepared to travel at least 40 minutes to get there. It is in the middle of nowhere with no local shops or bars - you need a car. The host had no idea on the check in or payment procedure and was very rude. They don’t speak english and it was impossible to arrange late checkin / out as they kept hanging up on english numbers prior to getting there. You need to speak spanish or italian. The place smells, the bathrooms are appalling - rusty shower which turns the water brown, no shower curtain, no bathmats. On arrival the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, there was no toilet or kitchen roll, washing up equipment or even enough glasses for a group of 6. One single duvet between 6, no blankets or cushions for the sunbeds. The outside door broke one evening leaving us stranded on the street until someone climbed over the high wall to the property. Even when we pointed these things out to the host he claimed it was ‘not his problem’. Extremely disappointing for a birthday celebration with friends. The only good thing was the view and the massage chair. Otherwise avoid avoid avoid.
