9.0It was close to perfect for what we needed ! We had never stayed at a Home2 suites before audit was a pleasant surprise !
− We got to breakfast 10 minutes before it closed. Late, I know.. They had had quite a rush earlier and .many items were gone and not replaced. I guess it was a good sign that we were so late to breakfast . The beds were so comfortable that we slept in and were unaware of the time! Flashing smoke detector light was disturbing.. however,i guess we could have pledged the room divider curtain over and it would have blocked the light. And we probably would have missed breakfast completely! 😄

Bad Dog Policy
8.0The hotel is really nice. Clean rooms. Good staff. Fine breakfast. Nothing to complain about. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 was the dog in the room next door. It barked a lot - because the owner had left it unattended - for several hours. Hilton offered us a different room - but at a hotel in Hershey - 20 miles away - since all of their Mechanicsburg area hotels were sold out. Not good. At 9 PM the solution isn't for me to move. The person with the dog should move, or be thrown out. (Particularly since that person hadn't told the hotel they were bringing a dog!) By 11:30 they returned to their room and rough housed with the dog, until I called the front desk - again. So again, very nice hotel - really worth 5 stars - but terrible policy on dogs. I lost a lot of sleep - and unfortunately it seems this could have happened at any Hilton anywhere.
A bit pricey for the location but we are repeat guests and it’s our favorite place to stay In Mechanicsburg. Every stay
