10.0Hame Hotel is in Dunvegan, so it's a bit out of the way from Portree (where most people stay). That turned out to be a blessing - our area was quiet, free from traffic, and still convenient to many sights like the Fairy Pools, Talisker Distillery, Dunvegan Castle, and the Three Chimneys restaurant. By contrast, Portree was a nonstop traffic jam, even in September. Our room was comfortable, and breakfast was filling and tasty. We didn't have dinner at the hotel because we failed to make a reservation - keep that in mind if you want to get dinner here, Skye has a lot more tourists than locals, which means things can fill up quickly.

8.0The welcome was warm, the room was spacious, the common area was lovely, the on your honor bar was an unexpected & nice feature. The bathroom was a little tired, the breakfast was good & staff friendly.
