Sono arrivata a destinazione e ho scoperto di essere stata vittima di una truffa: la struttura che avevo prenotato non si trovava a Roma, come riportato nell’annuncio, ma addirittura a Venezia. Da diversi giorni avevo contattato più volte Booking per segnalare che c’erano evidenti incongruenze e avevo chiesto l’annullamento della prenotazione. Ogni volta sono stata rassicurata che era tutto sotto controllo e che non risultavano anomalie. Purtroppo avevo ragione. Una volta arrivata sul posto, la struttura non esisteva e mi sono ritrovata senza un alloggio. L’unica soluzione proposta da Booking è stata una sistemazione alternativa con un costo quasi doppio rispetto a quello che avevo prenotato e con caratteristiche molto inferiori, costringendomi a sostenere una spesa che non avrei mai dovuto affrontare. Trovo inaccettabile che, nonostante le mie ripetute segnalazioni, non sia stata presa alcuna misura preventiva per evitare questa situazione. Mi aspettavo tutela e assistenza, invece ho dovuto affrontare personalmente il danno economico, il disagio e un weekend completamente rovinato. Dopo questa esperienza ho perso fiducia in Booking. Mi auguro che vengano effettuati controlli più rigorosi sulle strutture pubblicate e che i clienti vengano ascoltati quando segnalano possibili truffe, per evitare che altre persone vivano la mia stessa esperienza.

1.0− I did not actually stay at this property. First of all, at the time of my booking, the apartment was named 'The Colosseum Attic Private Terrace,' featuring fantastic photos and a prime location near Rome's center, right by the Colosseum (address: P.za del Colosseo 3, 00184). After receiving a payment instructions message from a host named KARAM ZAKI, I grew suspicious and immediately requested a cancellation. I never received a response, so the booking allegedly remained active. Now, I have received an email asking me to review the stay, but the property has completely changed its name to 'Hotel Burchiello,' along with its address and all of its photos. This is definitely a scam. Booking needs to take action, protect its users, and remove this listing from the platform immediately.
