Lovely spa day

Me and my mum went for a spa day after my graduation to celebrate and I cannot say how brilliant the experience was. We started with afternoon tea which was lovely, my mum is dairy free and they were massively accommodating with her allergy. After that we had a facial and back massage and it was just amazing. My therapist was a blonde Scouse woman (whose name I didn’t catch, sorry!!) who was just brilliant. I felt so relaxed, calm and comfortable and just had a lovely day!

Amazing spa day

My friend and I was treated for our birthdays to a day spa. It was great from beginning to end. Food was amazing and afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and cakes was delightful. We also had a lovely full body massage too.

Unprofessional Response to Constructive Feedback. Poor massage

I attended Rowton Hall Spa for a neck, back, shoulder and scalp massage using a voucher gifted by my parents. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The treatment involved an excessive amount of oil to the extent that meaningful pressure and massage technique were difficult to feel. Very little time was spent on my neck or scalp despite these being included in the treatment description, and I left feeling uncomfortable rather than relaxed. I chose to raise this privately before posting a public review, to give the spa an opportunity to address the issue constructively. Unfortunately, the response I received from the Spa Manager was defensive and inappropriate, referencing my professional background and implying that my feedback was surprising given my involvement in holistic work. I found this unprofessional and irrelevant to the matter raised. I then escalated the issue to senior management requesting a refund, as I no longer felt comfortable returning for a replacement treatment. My email has gone unanswered for over two weeks. It is extremely disappointing. Both the handling of the complaint and the subsequent lack of response have left me with little confidence in their customer service and the spa itself. I believe constructive feedback should be welcomed and handled respectfully. Sadly, this was not my experience.

A beautiful stay

Myself and partner have just stayed for two nights to celebrate my birthday and we had such a lovely time. The spa was peaceful with lovely facilities and our meals on both nights were exceptionally good. The service over our entire stay was warm, welcoming and efficient. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Dreadful hotel

Staff superb. But hotel a nightmare. Booked a suite for new year. Room unheated and no hot water. Took 2 days to sort out. Have emailed manager and got no response. Don’t bother going if your old

Rest, relax and amazing food!

Can not find fault at all! Just returned from a night away for my birthday and from Check in to check out has been amazing! Stayed in the orangery bedroom, was lovely and welcoming , bed very comfortable, shower was a very powerful over head shower which was heaven. The spa was very well kept and the decor kept well within the nature of the building. The food..best I’ve ever had! So flavourful so much taste and good perfectly! The waiting on staff couldn’t do enough to make the night a good one. Big thanks to Dev the barman… so welcoming so friendly and really lights up the room! Breakfast was lovely, full continental breakfast available with hot items also included. Can’t wait to go back!!
