10.0Der Ryokan liegt etwas abgelegen, was aber durch den angebotenen Shuttle-Service kein großes Problem ist. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich, spricht zum Teil gut englisch und bemüht sich sehr um die Gäste. Ganz phantastisch ist das Essen: Sowohl das sehr umfangreiche Kaiseki-Menü am Abend als auch das Frühstück waren ausgezeichnet. Und der private Freiluft-Onsen mit speziellem Heilwasser ist auch ganz wunderbar
Onsen Ryokan - Top-Erlebnis,.tolles Personal
10.0Sensationelles Erlebnis, ein Onsen-Ryokan als Ausländer! Unglaublich gutes, vielfältiges und reichhaltiges Essen. Kaiseki am ersten Abend, Sukiyaki (u.a) mit lokalem marmorierten Rindfleisch am zweiten - beides sensationell! Wir waren dort zwei Nächte zum Entspannen. Hat geklappt. Die Japan-Style Zimmer mit Tatami-Matten sind für europäische Rücken subideal, aber das gehört so. Dafür gab es "Stühle ohne Füße" und noch eine Art niedrige Sessel. Das Personal war superfreundlich - kann aber fast kein Englisch. Nachts gab es eine Glühwürmchentour! Die Onsenkultur ist ebenfalls gewöhnungsbedürftig für Ausländer, aber sollte man mal gemacht haben! Hol- und Bringservice vom Shinkansen-Bahnhof Himeji inklusive! Extrem freundliches und einfach liebes Personal! Riesengrundstück. Alles sehr nett!
− Die Lage ist nicht ganz ideal. Ohne Auto ist man dort etwas. Keine Wanderwege o.ä. in der Nähe. Aber das ist auch nix, was man viele Tage hintereinander buchen würde. Das schafft der Magen gar nicht 😜 Nicht ganz billig, aber alles zusammengenommen dennoch eine absolute Empfehlung!

9.0The staff was very accomodating and kind. Even though nobody really spoke any English, they went out of their way to still be able to communicate about the facility, food, etc.. The room was very jice with a private bath. Ths outside bath was also nice, and the garden through which you walked to it was beautiful. The dinner was very good and elaborately presented. The included shuttle bus service was a very big plus. The location is somewhat remote but very beautiful and serene (do bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper though, due to all the animal/forest sounds at night).
− I booked the western style room with beds but the matrasses were so hard I might just as well have booked a futon-room.
